The Centrale Bank van Curaçao en Sint Maarten has introduced a survey to collect annual data on transactions and positions in foreign assets and liabilities. The collected data will be used to improve the compilation of the balance of payments and to create new statistics on the international investment position (IIP) for Curaçao and Sint Maarten. This survey is based on guidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to improve the coverage and quality of statistics on international capital flows and to facilitate international data comparability.
Pursuant to article 9 of the Foreign Exchange Regulation Curaçao and Sint Maarten (2010), every entity is obliged to truthfully submit all information and data that the CBCS requires to compile the balance of payments, including the international investment position (IIP). The supplied data will be treated strictly confidential and will be used for statistical purposes only. Furthermore, the data will be published only in aggregated form, which prevents the disclosure of data provided by individual respondents.
The survey can be downloaded by selecting one of the 2 tabs shown in the menu on the left.
